Lanie Frick has a passion for painting that comes directly from her passion for animals and the great outdoors. Painting is her voice telling of our connection with the natural world. Lanie paints in a fluent language of brush stroke and color, conveying on canvas the feeling of each encounter. And it is her close connection and experience with the subjects she paints that give her works of art a genuine quality which is distinctive.

Spending time outdoors and creating has been Lanie's life since childhood. Growing up on a working ranch in Missouri made for daily opportunities to study animal behavior and soak up all nature has to offer. The knowledge she gleaned teamed with her desire to express it through painting has advanced Lanie's artwork to be sought after in the equine and western art worlds.

Lanie is the recipient of many awards in painting. Her artwork has been juried into exhibitions and purchased by numerous private and public collectors throughout the United States.

based on the structure of tree roots

Much like our own lives, roots are weaved into an intricate structure of support and relationships.  The very nature of roots demonstrates the flexibility and vitality it takes to survive and grow with maturity.  Their connection to the earth is strong and essential, as is ours.
